With a humble beginning dating back to 1989, starting off in a small 500 sq.ft. work space, we have worked our way to being one of India's leading fashion and apparel groups.
One employee at a time, One garment at a time, One client at a time.
Today, 2 manufacturing units later, we are among India's leading apparel manufacturers. We take pride in the collaborations and growth we have seen spanning across a 30 year legacy.
History & Milestones
We have come a long way in the last 3 decades....
Celebrity Fashions was started
on April 14th, 1989 with 50 machines
in a small, 500 sq.ft. space, working
on job work orders for other exporters.

Over the years we expanded our capacity from
50 machines to 500. Started working with customers
such as Diesel, Marlboro, Timberland.
Celebrity Fashions launches one
of the largest Indian menswear retail
brands - Indian Terrain
2000
2005
In 2005 we were listed on the
Bombay Stock Exchange, and were one
of the first apparel manufacturing
companies to do so.
Entered the bottoms category
& expanded our capacity
to 1300 machines.

Executive Leadership
Venkatesh Rajagopal
Chairman, Celebrity Fashions Ltd
Mr. Venkatesh Rajagopal holds a B.A. Honours degree in Economics and a Master of Arts degree. Before Celebrity Fashions, his future plans looked very different. In 1979, he joined the Indian Police Service and served the nation for a decade. But in 1988, he felt an entrepreneurial calling, and left his law-enforcement background to start Celebrity Fashions Ltd. Over the years, he has also served as a Member of the prestigious Young President Organization, Madras Chapter.
Vidyuth Venkatesh Rajagopal
Managing Director, Celebrity Fashions Ltd
Mr. Vidyuth holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Master of Business Administration from an Indian Ivy League b-school. For the first decade of his career, he gained significant experience in key functions of the apparel industry, such as Business Development, Merchandising, Product Development, Retail Operations, Cluster Management and Factory operations. He took over as the acting CEO of Celebrity Fashions in 2017. He, like his father, has also served as a Member of the prestigious Young President Organization, Madras Chapter.
Our Retail Presence
Indian Terrain was launched as our retail brand back in 2000 to primarily cater to the needs of the cosmopolitan, upwardly-mobile young Indian man. We have reflected our expertise in design and commitment to product quality in building Indian Terrain into one of the fastest growing menswear brands in India.
Today, Indian Terrain spans across 200+ exclusive stores, 1000+ Multi brand outlets, with a presence on major e-commerce stores. Our clothing suite ranges from shirts and t-shirts, sweaters and shackets, to trousers, shorts and denims for men and boys. Through the years, we have chosen our Brand Ambassadors as carefully as they have chosen us. They reflect our passion for effortless style and impeccable quality.
