Church I was baptised in! Minor Basilica Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Gorlice.I remember when I was in elementary school in the next building next to the church and I would go to kiss the feet of Jesus on the Cross (photo 3).Good to be in my hometown!#gorlice #poland #catholic #catholicchurch

Our Lady of Lourdes statue in the streets of Chicago! St. Bernadette relics and Holy Eucharist in the procession through Uptown and Buena Park neighborhoods of Chicago. How much needed in today's world, was a beautiful witness of catholic faith, I was blessed to be there and be able to capture it! Thank you Bishop Bartosic for celebrating the last mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Chicago, which will be closed now. On May 13, 1981, Pope St. John Paul II The Great was shot and seriously wounded in St. Peter's Square by Turkish assailant Mehmet Ali Agca! It is a feast of Our Lady of Fatima. I can't imagine how could it feel to hear such news in the media. On my last visit to Poland, I went to "Sanktuarium Świętego Jana Pawła II" in Krakow, where you can see the Pope's vestments covered in blood.I got goosebumps just by looking at it, we almost lost Him in 1981 but “One Hand Pulled the Trigger, Another Guided the Bullet”, Holy Mary saved him from certain death, it wasn't his time yet, he got a bigger mission here on Earth. Pope asked people to "pray for my brother [Agca] ... whom I have sincerely forgiven." Only a holy man could say it.
