make sure the spelling in the company information tab is exactly the same as in gov connect or in ATO portal

Thanks Kris - I just added Pty Ltd. Do I need to reinstall SPT 2 now? As it is saying the same error - I logged out and logged back in prior to trying again. Thanks

No it’s just a setting, I do believe even full stops and capital letters all make a difference. Otherwise I’m sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction tomorrow, either on here or with phone support
Are you sure of the branch number?

Hi @AnnetteGray35
Log in to your ATO Online Services (where you can lodge your own BAS online) & check there that the branch number is correct for the 2nd employing entity (“002”), as the branch numbers may not always be consecutive 😬

Hi @AnnetteGray35
Before you do anything further, can you please advise why you are currently trying to register branch 002 for your ABN in GovConnect.
I can see that you've sent all of your submissions so far under the default branch 001 registration. Is there a specific reason you're now registering 002? ie. is there a need to do so?

Hi Rav
I saw in some previous answers to try a different branch number. So should I delete 002? If so how do I do that and again when I try to add product and get 001 it says it is already registered so I am unsure how to access it now?
Thanks

There are no submissions under Branch 002 - so yes deleting that would be good then we can try to figure out why I can't continue to upload under the original! Thanks

Hi @AnnetteGray35
Was there an issue preventing you from sending through your submissions as normal under the existing (001) registration that led you to trying to register branch 002?
If so, can you let me know what that is, including any error messages if there are any. Just looking to understand where things are at so we can get you headed in the right direction 🙂
I've gone ahead and deleted the branch 002 registration that was recently created as from the sounds of it, its not actually required and in fact, submitting under it will create a wholly separate entity and duplicate income statements for your employees.

Hi Rav
So when I click on GovConnect it shows the following screens - it's like I have never used it before - even though I have put through some submissions.
When I try and enter my ABN it says it's already registered. I have checked spelling of company name in Q/bks and ATO - they are correct, the software ID is correct as well.
Any tips? Thanks

Thanks for that info @AnnetteGray35
Based on your screenshots, it looks like you're signing in to a different account than what your ABN has been registered under.
You need to sign in to the Reckon Portal/GovConnect using the email address and password that the account was originally registered under and then you'll be able to see and access the original 001 registration.
I can't disclose the details of accounts here on the public Community but I what I can say is, its not the email address that is listed in your screenshot nor is it the email address that your Community account is registered under. Sorry to be cryptic but hopefully that points you in the right direction in terms of narrowing down the email address. If you're still not sure, please give our support team a call and they'll be able to advise the account details after a quick security check.
